Get to the Radiation Zone in Far Cry New Dawn

I try to find the area where original far cry new dawn starts and one other thing when you get to the old hope county jail, you see a wide green area just after some radiation zone and when I get there, I find the place where the original game starts. Also listen some random firing sounds but on exploring, there is no human nor animal.
